So love me the men of today!
I suppose this has something to do with
my life-span observations of the ways of
yesteryear as opposed to our modern-day
evolutions.
My father was a man way ahead of his time.
He would have fared well in today's world.
I look at my son and observe his sweet ways.
I've taught with lovely men for 41 years in
two countries. And, observed the evolution
therein.
I know men will always be men and women
will always be women . . . Still, it seems to me
that as the eons pass, o.k. decades, we do grow
as a people . . . at least most do.
The differences I note run along the lines of
genuine interest in others. The old maxim,
"Women give sex to get love and men give
love to set sex," really no longer holds true.
I believe there is more of a balance now.
Perhaps, it has something to do with women
in the workplace and men taking a greater
role in the home. Whatever the magic, men
have become something wonderful.
Obviously, not all have risen to the occasion,
as it were. Nonetheless, I pray we all continue
to seek, to grow, to be. Blessed be.
