Here we are, almost at the end of
2019, and I feel as if it were the
new year. Although that sweet sorrow
that accompanies the Days of the Dead
has passed, those lovely memories we
invoked, somehow brighten the future
and give us hope . . . perhaps, a renewed
commitment to make our ancestors
proud. So, I honor the upcoming happy,
familial holiday, Thanksgiving. As for me,
it's the other side, the happy side to the
Days of the Dead. May we spend it in
our family circles, and in those fond
embraces, remember the phenomenal
fortune we possess in family.
