"Sometimes when you're in a
dark place, you think you've
been buried, but you've actually
been planted." ~Christine Caine
It's no secret that I suffer from
SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder.
I'll admit, I do tend to go on and
on about it! Still, sometimes I'll
read a quote like this one from
Christine Caine, and it gives me
courage to live through the dark
of the winter months.
Indeed, there are things that help.
A short walk, being out for a bit
in the winter sun, sitting by the
fire and looking out the window,
watching silly movies, reading
uplifting material . . .
Sadly, (pun intended) when SAD
hits the fan, it's nigh impossible
to remember these things. I make
a list, post it and read it everyday.
I assign myself things to do on
the list. And, with the help of my
guy, I make it through.
I need to stay one step ahead . . .
so, I'm delighted winter hasn't
hit us hard yet, but I'm making
ready . . . and you can take that
to the bank!
stay with me a while
im scared of the dark daddy
make it go away
