I'll admit I've had some down days this
winter, even though winter has only just
begun. So, I turned to a wondrous book
a girlfriend of mine gave me, Fear Not.
It's a sweet little tome, but what makes
it rather beyond amazing is that she went
through the book and wrote comments
on almost every page. Example:
"You gain strength, courage and
confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to lookfear in the face. You are able tosay to yourself, 'I have lived
through this horror. I can take the
next thing that comes along'. Youmust do the thing you think you
cannot do." ~Eleanor Roosevelt
"Your strength has gotten you
through so much". ~Alice
I like the book and so appreciate the
much needed advice . . . but, it's her own
sweet words that cheer me every time!!!
Let's think outside the box when it comes
to presents this unbelievable 2020. Share
a gift from your own home. Write a much
needed letter of encouragement. Bake
something. Make that phone call you've
been putting off for so long.
No need to hit the mall! 'Tis that personal
touch that means so much just now.
whats under the tree
looking for encouragement
pray its what i need
