I've always been a proper date gal . . . by that I
mean that I like to celebrate on the actual day of
any given event. Obviously, I'm open minded to
the point that I'll celebrate any time asked, but
that often means I honor the real date on my own.
Case in point, special Sunday familial luncheon
became our Christmas Eve this year. We gathered,
one and all, from parts unknown. I prepared a
delish Mexican mean per the request of my Army
grandson; my son played guitar and my daughter
sang; we at until the cows came home . . . not
sure I'll ever recover! Viola! Christmas Eve made
to order. But of course, my man and I will indeed
sit by the fire tonight, put on some winter music,
and sip a bit of that delectable wine my son gifted
us. Still, I be I'll find myself missing those beloved
souls who celebrated with us on Sunday. For us,
'twill always be, two holidays for the price of one
since that's how my family rolls! Now, don't even
get me started on those double calories . . . I pray
allof us have a marvelous eve of celebration
tonight, each in our own special way . . .
remembering us
a christmas even any time
missing you tonight
