It seems Julie has been in
my life forever, rather along
the lines of a little sister or
a fave niece. We did meet
25 years ago or so and have
been close ever since. She's
taken my classes, joined my
group of sisters and been a
bright light in moments of
darkness.
I rue the day illness took
her life as she knew it. It
was heartbreaking to watch
this amazing woman slow
her steps, but never her
smile. Positive as ever,
she showed us what real
courage looked like.
Looking back, I am well
pleased that we went over
to see her every few weeks.
I thought we had more time.
The lesson I take from Julie . . .
Live life while you have it.
Exist only when you don't!
What a love . . .
"Your wings were ready,
but our hearts were not . . ."
