"The privilege of a life-
time is to become who
you truly are." ~Carl Jung
So true . . .
Having taught school;
Middle, High, College,
University for 40 years,
I have watched this in
action.
Seems from the moment
we're born, we begin the
struggle to become.
Perhaps, from birth to
retirement, is all about
experimenting, trying
things on for size.
Maybe retirement is that
first moment of slowing
down and having a good
think.
We can then take our
experimenting years in
hand and make choices.
I have to laugh . . . only
worn black during my
years of retirement. Like
to sit outside with a cold
one in the afternoons.
Read my book a day, do
my x-word puzzles and
write my daily blog.
Seems I've managed to
collapse a lifetime into
doing about three things.
Thing is, I'm content and
I so enjoy remembering . . .
ever so glad I have most
wondrous things to recall!
Blessed be . . .
