Alas, today we bid
our friend Mimi
bon voyage . . . a
birthday trip to be
sure.
We met many a year
ago. We were nice as
well as kind to each
other, but there was no
apparent magick 'twixt
and 'tween the two of us.
And then, little by little
we became something
along the line of pen
pals. Bless e-mail!
This is how we became
true friends!
Mimi had joined our
circle of sisters for many
a year. Then she came
to a place where it was
simply too much work.
This woman, an example
to us all, was inherently
amazing . . .
. . . hiked, traveled, visited,
studied, worshiped, shared.
She obviously chose to live
rather than simply exist.
She is and will be much
missed. I still like to think
my heart happily houses
many a memory of her.
