"I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become
good, beautiful and kind?"
~Langston Hughes
I discovered Hughes in
my early teen years. It
was love at first sight,
make no mistake!
I was heartbroken when
he passed. Even then, I
thought 66 was awfully
young to die.
What gifts he has left us
in his writing. When I so
need cheering up . . . all
I have to think is, "Give
me some Langston!"
