Sooooo love beauty . . . 

Still, I imagine my view is

quite dif from that of others.

-that off sunset I didn't expect

-a mom being patient w/kids

-an unforeseen card in the mail 

-a phone call from my babes

-shekels found on my dresser

In fact, I rarely stop to think

of facial or bod beauty. Can't

help but wonder if it doesn't

have something to do w/age.

Bottom line . . . we are all

beautiful at different points

in our lives. 

We have that rare opportunity 

to see it in others and feel

inspired.

So love me some inspiration!

I've only just experienced

this once again . . .

Been sick as the proverbial

dog since the weekend. I've

received thoughtful e-mails, 

phone calls and even a visit

from my neighbors.

Trying not to hold my breath,

but I pray today or tomorrow

begins the healing process,

the end in sight.

Haven't a clue where this all

came from. I haven't even

been naughty! My loss . . .

Alas, methinks aging is

finally catching up w/me.

Whole bod aches, demands

attention, but not sure what

to do. May have to break

down and take some pain

meds. Damn!

Going to the doc this morn.

I think she may be 16 and

most likely will just take 

me out back and shoot me.

Maybe our final years are

all about smiling whilst

enduring. 

Yikes . . .

Empathy is an amazing

gift . . .

The life of an empath is

not an easy one. Feeling

others' pain, helping all

who come their way. It

has to be exhausting both

mentally and physically.

The most difficult thing

for an empath is to turn

off those feelings derived

from others. Alas, 'tis an

achievement I've yet to

learn.

Today I wish to honor my

sister empaths. It's a hard

journey and one you didn't

ask for.

In times of doubt, just recall

you've helped ever so many . . .

never really considered . . .

It makes sense if you

think about it. Methinks

needs some pondering.

Come to think about it, 

I don't see it matters if 

I look at things from my

perspective. 'Tis the space

where I live, after all!

Perhaps, I'll select some

brushes and paints from 

my satchel and see if I

can paint my world even

All of us know what it is

to try to be brave in hard,

hard times! I also know

this pertains to both men

and women.

There is a part of me that

wishes I hadn't needed to

be brave so often in my

own life. Or, well pleased

that those hard times indeed 

have made me stronger.

We all need to be strong,

stay strong . . . all the time!

But, there's a part of me

that wishes for a time out,

as it were.

I'd simply like to rest for

a little while . . . what? 

You too?! I sooooo get it!

 Alas . . .

 . . . no can do sleep!

I've finished my book.

I'm oh so comfortable

in my fave bed w/my

sweet guy.

And still sleep eludes

me . . .

My dad used to tell

me that on sleepless

nights my angel was

most likely trying to 

give me a message. 

He suggested it might

be best were I to sit

up, go into my state

of meditation and

see if the message

would come through.

Even tonight, dad's

words come to mind.

And, it's not that I'm 

a sceptic. It's just I

haven't talked to my

angel in a long time.

Sooooo, who the hell

am I now?

   -I remember the sweet,

little child. The one who

lived to help her 'lil bro.

   -I recall the student, so

many years in the making.

Loved ever minute of it.

   -I love the mother in me.

Oh, my beautiful children!

All eight of them!

   -I honor the teacher in me.

41 years of pure joy. Best

career choice ever!

   -Even proud of caring for

my mom for three and a 

half years. Hardest job I

ever did; make no mistake!

But, who am I now? Now

that I'm retired, living in a 

tiny 145 year old cabin and

nearly that old myself?!

I've lost me somehow and 

I need to get her back . . .

My heart hurts!

I need to take a look at

anything happening in

between.

the biggest and brightest

full moon of the year!

to end all loonies!!!

I also like to honor Vet's

day. Coming from a military

fam 'tis within my preview.

Can hardly wait to see what

else comes along!

11/02/2025, Honrando a los Adultos Difuntos

Tal vez se supone que 

el día de hoy es un tanto 

menos difícil que ayer. 

Claro, siendo que cuando

menos los adultos hayan

vivido sus años. Los nenes

no tuvieron la oportunidad.

Para mí, el día es difícil

porque celebro a mi padre,

el gran amor de mi vida.

Le debo a él todo lo que

he sido o he ganado en 

esta vida.

Por otro lado, sé que es

importante que recordemos

a nuestros amados. Y claro

sé que no solo el día de hoy

les recordamos.

Mañana guardaremos los

altares, entre lágrimas y

recuerdos. Espero en Dios

que nuestros antepasados

descansen en paz . . .

11/01/2025, Honrando a los Niños Perdidos

Hoy para mí, es aún más

triste ya que celebramos

a los nenes que hemos

perdido.

Mi propia familia también 

ha perdido . . .  desde el 

fallecimiento de mi carnal

Samuel hasta mis nietecitos. 

Obviamente, hay mucha

tristeza en el tribu Latino.

Lo que me conmueve mucho

es el valor con que enfrenten

sus pérdidas. Y, hasta celebran

sus vidas.

Claro que honro a nuestros

niños perdidos. Pero hoy, 

también honro a las madres

y los padres que han sufrido

estas pérdidas tan difíciles.

Ruego que haya consolación

para todos . . .
