Ever and always, I'll

think of this date as

the morning of the

day after . . .

I'm a Yule gal myself

and I had to stay abed

as well. Still, many of

my fam and friends

celebrate x-mas.

I like to honor them

on their day sending

good wishes and even

cards when I can get

my act together. Alas,

didn't happen much

this year.

And, when I win the

lotto, if i ever buy a

ticket . . . Wow, will

we ever celebrate

then!!!

p.s. 

My mother always

made me write my

NYs resolutions on

this day! Hmmmm . . .

12/25/2025, X-mas Day

Looking outside . . .

no snow! 

What is it about x-mas 

that makes us think of 

snow. Must be thoughts

of Santa and reindeer.

I'll confess, for moi,

'tis Yule, but for most

of mine it's Christmas.

Sooooo, make today 

a memorable one!

12/24/2025 - X-mas Eve

Yesterday is gone, praise

the universe! A day most

difficult . . .

Today, a gift, an amazing 

gift!

Looking outside, a herd

of elk. Must have been

'round 70 plus.

Some of them wandered

on up the hill. Others 

trailed up the stone path

into the yard.

Most fun . . . a ginormous

five pronged antlered elk

stood right under our front

window. He stayed there,

devouring a pumpkin at 

his ease.

I might add, this very

special pumpkin was a

gift from two of our besties.

So wish they could have

seen its demise!

So, if you celebrate tonight,

enjoy!

I feel ever so sorry for

God sometimes . . . 

Alas, methinks He gets

blamed for everything . . .

more bad than good.

I have no real concept

of who God is. My

childhood vision has

Him sitting on His

throne, up in the clouds.

Still, I believe a higher

power lives within and

I find I'm ever so grateful

for this.

I look at these words 

and bow at the feet of

this unknown author.

I am always moved 

when coming across

beautiful words, words

of wisdom.

I need them to be seared

in my brain. I want to

adopt them into my daily

life. 

I so wish to live them . . .

Oh, what a day! What

a crazy, incredible day!

'Tis the third day of no

electricity, no internet,

no working phones.

Here's hoping the food

in the fridge stays good,

phone service returns,

and electricity comes

back sane and sound

from its impromptu

vacation.

Alas, 'tis Day 2 of no

elec, no water, no internet

no surveillance.  Scary 

business!

I'm keeping six candles

alight next to the bed

and four on the dresser.

Even they are not enough

to light up the room.

I'm having serious issues

with this no light business.

SAD is hitting me hard.

Praise the powers at be;

we're to have electricity

tomorrow afternoon.

Here's to three days of

darkness turning to light

once again.

Wind is blowing and no

electricity. Feels just a

bit scary if you ask me.

Not sure why!

Methinks 'twill be a very

interesting day. I'm going

to stick around and find

out.

Oh well, didn't have any

plans to go out anyway!

Used to be March was

the windy month!

December sure took a

page out of March last

night. No electricity. I

had every candle in the

house lit.

Every now and then, I

find I must give thanks

for being retired. Ever

so glad I don't have to

go out in this windy

weather.

It can be dangerous. Be

careful out there . . .  and

have your candles at the

ready!

Sooooo love it when

page at me!

Now at nigh onto a 100

years old, I recognize 

wisdom when I see it;

make no mistake.

Still kind of wondering

when my own wisdom

will kick in. Any day

now would be good.

Just when I think I have

it nailed, the Universe

kicks in a reminder.

A new year's a coming.

grands and greats to

know this. But really,

I sooooo needed the

reminder myself.

Can't help but wonder

why we all strive so

hard to be adults. 

Obviously, we are all

grown up, adults doing

adult things. Still, we

make a mistake not

including fun, childish 

moments as well.

   -take a walk

   -call a friend

   -share a new toy

   -dress how you like

   -laugh more; cry less

Yay! 'Tis supposed to

get to 61° today! 

Half of December is

gone and it's not even

winter yet! How fun to

have  a day of warmth.

We're supposed to get

three days of snow this

week so I'm going to

enjoy today any way I

can!

Porch? Margs? Blankets?

Sooooo can hardly wait . . .

I get to see my children

this morning. A most

wondrous antidote to

these cold winter days.

Yesterday afternoon, we 

spent a few lovely hours 

with our friends. Earlier

in the morn, an old pal

came by to spend an

hour.

My two besties spent 

Friday with me . . .

 . . . and sweet, sweet

letters and e-mails.

A pattern here?

Methinks my friends 

are conspiring to help

me through these winter

months of SAD.

What an amazing show

of solidarity, of friendship.

I find myself touched

beyond belief.

Methinks, 'tis better than

any meds for SAD!
