Oh my God!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday afternoon,
we went outside w/a
bit of red. We wanted
to enjoy some summer
sun.
Then, we noticed elk
crossing the road to
to up our hillside.
Moms, babies, dads,
young bulls coming
into their own. We
counted about 30 or
so.
Then my guy sings
out that there's about
50 more going up the
garage way. They be-
gan crossing over and
up into our forest. We
watched a long time.
We went back to our
seats by our little pond
and finally had our 1st
sip.
I look up from our toast
and see a huge female
elk standing right above
the pond. We didn't move
a muscle.
She leapt on down, came
to the pond and drank a
couple of times. She then
sauntered around to face
us again over chairs.
She put her head right over
Wade's chair and again over
Heidi's. Again staring at us
and us not moving even a
tad.
She walked around the
spiritual circle and then
down the walk, eating as
she went. I had to take a
much needed breath!
Thought she was gone,
but no, she turned 'round
and harvested some more.
What an incredible gift!
I felt my heart full of joy.
How can I ever give thanks?
Blessed be . . .
